Here goes - the thought of blogging is one that has always scared me because I worry what I’m writing is wrong. But I have read others blogs and realised that that isn’t the case.
Earlier this week when I received all my emails with all the info on I need for module one I felt pretty overwhelmed. I felt a little lost with so much to read and take in all at once, but step by step and by reading and re reading I already feel better. I feel I’m beginning to understand that this is a totally different way of learning for me as I have gone through the education system being told what is right and wrong. This is something I’m nervous about getting used to but also excited for the new challenge. There is a lot I need to learn and explore about blogging, social media, distance learning, and that’s before I start on the course!!! However, having had a Skype session this evening my nerves are much more settled. Adesola and Helen gave me more information and reassurance as did many of the other students from different modules too. I’m looking forward to reading many more blogs from students in different modules but also students in the same module as I am. The idea of a learning community is one I like - so I am looking forward to the journey ahead!
For now - more reading for me, to invest in a decent laptop, and to update my diary with important dates!!!
